If you read volume1 the Abydos students and PS68 had no trouble beating prefects who were in the middle of retreating, and Shiroko really was wakuwaku to be able to fight Hina as well until they stopped her. Its a moment that shows Ayane really doesn't know what she's talking about; she doesn't realize how strong her own school is. Abydos were forged in the heat of battle, each of them are far stronger than most students. Maki confirms all of them are high tier. Ayane was crying about fighting the prefects, but when they actually did it, it was a masacre. Afterwards Hina had to chastise Ako that if the battle had gone any further then sensei and Hoshino might have been enough to take down all of Gehenna.
