I run with 3050 laptop so gpu it's not the problem.
personally I use stability matrix to manage all the files. it is easier for me to use. it's kinda work like a launcher, inside it you can download any kind of package like sd classic, forge, reforge, comfy, etc. I suggest for start use forge. then use a model you like, for me I use this https://civitai com/models/827184/wai-nsfw-illustrious-sdxl. then grab a vae, I use this https://huggingface co/stabilityai/sdxl-vae/blob/main/sdxl_vae.safetensors.
