Same, except I still think the game takes way too long to really open the open world. The beginning of the game is an extended tutorial and guided tour of the factions. That's If you play it the way the dev's intended and don't cheese past the kill zones funneling you into pic related. First you endure Doc Mitchell, then Sunny Smiles, Powder Ganger Intro. After all that tutorial there's the intro to the main factions. Primm to meet the NCR, Nipton to meet Caesars Legion, Novac to see NCR and Caesars Legion both interacting with a community. Finally you get to Freeside and that's where the game begins, after hours of introductory content. For a game called "New Vegas" that depicts Vegas on the cover and all the promotional material, it was a fuck of a slog to get to Vegas. Then when you finally open it up, it's 3 casino's. The actual Vegas part of New Vegas was incredibly disappointing. Considering the theme park nature of Fallout 3 (if you played it first), your expectation of Fallout: New Vegas would be a theme park in post apocalyptic Vegas. Vegas has a lot of notoriety. Compare the extended intro of New Vegas to Fallout 3 where the game opens up as soon as you exit the first the vault and you can go in any direction to experience sidequests. It would have made more sense and been less disappointing if they called the game Fallout: Nevada but that wouldn't have enticed people to buy it with the promise of Las Vegas.
