As a bear circle druid her bear form is far more powerful, halving non-magical bludgeoning, slashing and piercing damage, dealing extra damage and growing much larger while also gaining a resized copy of any armor she wears. She usually begins fights with her bear form, using it as a spare health pool to gauge the danger of her enemies, fleeing if necessary or exhausting her wild shape charges if necessary. Usually she retreats if an enemy is powerful enough to force her into goliath form, but she's still a 6'5 powerful warrior woman with superhuman toughness and barbarian rage, she's not afraid to fight as such if need be, picking the weakest foe, and working her way up from there, healing herself with magic if her rage wears off and the fight is still going.

The one time she's had to fight that hard was the fall of her village to the orcs. Ten fell by her claws, teeth and sword before she had to flee, and she killed as many goblins and half as many orcs again during her tribes march to escape the destruction of their village, hoping for once that bears and giants would come in great numbers that year, that the orcs would have to deal with them.

During the retreat, Bjorn roared loudly enough in his brown bear form to cause an avalanche, slaying hundreds of foes and separating Bierdna from her tribe. Since then she's met several of her tribesmen living as guards and mercenaries scattered throughout human communities, the tribe, lacking the wealth to provide for themselves has scattered over the kingdom in a diaspora of individuals looking out for themselves until they can reclaim their homeland.

But the first time she met another goliath since she came down from the mountains was when she came across a valiant male fighting alone on a bridge like a hero out of legend, standing against an orc chief in single combat. Her heart sang and her pulse quickened as she saw him fight desperately but without backing down, surviving through luck and skill. (3/?)
