I lean Nemlei purist too actually, but this game literally about two young adults around the turn of the century, using slurs like that would be normal. Like the other anon mentioned, it's far more about immersive- but I certainly don't mind the more creative insults. Andrew using hare-brained or myopic would be in-character.
