Gaming peaked 10-15 years ago. There is no reason for companies to pursue that extra 5-10% of 'improved graphics,' when you can hardly see any difference. They could be making games of this caliber, that run buttery smooth and could ship faster, but then they wouldn't be able to justify their bloated staff.
