The golden glow of Kizaru’s body flickered like a dying ember, his once-indomitable form now kneeling in the cracked ruins of what was once a battlefield. Smoke curled from the craters left behind by the sheer force of their clash, the air thick with the acrid scent of ozone and scorched earth.
Above him, floating with effortless grace, Enel gazed down with an expression of divine amusement. His golden staff crackled with arcs of untamed lightning, the very air trembling beneath his will.
"How disappointing," Enel mused, tilting his head. "A man who moves at the speed of light… yet still too slow."
Kizaru’s breath came ragged, his shoulders heavy. His Logia intangibility had meant nothing—lightning was simply faster. Every movement, every flash-step, had been anticipated, countered with a precision that bordered on precognition.
"You’re… quite the monster," Kizaru admitted, a wry smirk tugging at his lips despite the pain.
Enel’s grin widened. "Monster? No. I am a god."
With a lazy flick of his wrist, another bolt surged forth. Kizaru’s body convulsed as white-hot agony lanced through him, vision whiting out. His knees hit the ground again, this time for good.
The last thing he heard was Enel’s laughter, echoing like thunder in the hollow of defeat before he passed into the void of silence, his life ended.
"Hmph. Even a so-called "Admiral" is but a candle in my storm."
