i'd further speculate that woman don't have these same pressures. they are not being held to the same expectation, even though they have a slightly easier road to begin with.
being middleclass, or just gainfully employed at an office in many cases does does quite alot for their confidence. basically, if both a man and a woman were to occupy the same job and living standards, the woman would be more satisfied as the man would feel he has let down society or himself, the woman would feel like she is a boss babe on her way to something.
ofc we all know men could care less what a woman does for their occupation.. its hardly even sprinkles on the cake in our view.. a man's occupation and financial value is monumental on the other hand in how society perceives them
