What do you think of the very first trial?

I've just replayed the first trial of Danganronpa 1 and honestly, for the first trial, it's pretty good. I like the revelation that was it actually Sayaka who planned the murder from the very beginning and she was only using Makoto and even planned to pin the crime on him. It still makes me wonder if she was using him from the start or if she genuinely viewed him as a friend and only began to plot against him after seeing her motive video of her fellow pop group dying.

The trial is good though, especially the parts where it all starts to point torwards Sayaka like the nameplates being swapped, her inviting someone to the room she was staying in and even getting the knife, all the way to the part where it's revealed she striked first. The case is incredibly easy though aside from a few spots.

As for the culprit Leon, he was a decent culprit. What interests me is even after he injured Sayakas wrists and when she ran inside the bathroom to hide, he could have just stopped there but he went out of his way to go back to his room, open up his tool kit, return to where Sayaka was at with the screwdriver and busted down the bathroom door before stabbing her so it wasn't really self defense. He could have hid in his room for tonight but I guess he was also desperate to escape the school. Also his execution was fucking brutal.
