I like Bakshi in theory for promoting adult story telling in animation, but his directing was kind of shit. And then he's responsible for producing John K, who is another mixed bag of candy and feces.
Heavy Metal 2k should have been something special, but the final product was a boring piece of mediocre animation that captured nothing from the comics. Now adult animation is all toilet humor and lame sitcoms.
