I think Tamers retconned that Rarity was in her late 30's and just made her in her late 20's like all the other mane 6 since Rarity is in the same class and the same age as the rest of them.
Also how old is Cherilee. Cherilee was the mane 6, Trixie, Mary, and Starlight's teacher and now she's the teacher for Applebloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle.
