Anon, the entire Bible and every scripture ever written is an allegory on what happens inside each person. You are Christ, Mary, Judas, Adam, Eve, Abraham and everyone else mentioned in the Bible. One of the most basic esoteric principles is that the form is a limitation, while absence of the form is the fullness of being, for example, Guenon wrote about it, although I can’t remember where exactly. This is why trying to prove Christ’s historical presence is a futile effort, because He doesn’t need one at all. Everything you see and experience is a reflection of the intangible principles that have always been there, the world limited by forms is merely a reflection of them, to put it more simply, intangible>physical in hierarchy. This is why looking at the events of Bible, or any scripture for that matter, as historical events first is outright idiotic. It’s like looking at the shadow of something and arguing whether the object that casts is real or not, while simultaneously ignoring the said object that stands right in front of you.
