Addendum: In an earlier chapter there is the paragraph in pic related, which I translated with
>As group selection only happens from iishanten or better, you should think that it's not strange for a player to be in tenpai when he cuts a kanchan or a pair.
This is in direct contradiction to the style of play he advocates in the current chapter. I'm looking at this paragraph again and I still don't think my TL is wrong.
If he meant that group selection happens at iishanten at the latest, then saying that they may well be tenpai after group selection just doesn't make sense.
Can any other moon anons weigh in?
