It was a mockery of what underwater fights were and I didn't like at all.
Underwater fight were suppose be the part of the hunt where the monster who seemed weak and slow on the land became stronger and faster once it was in its own natural habitat.
Turning a fight of who has the upperhand between the hunter and the monster into a complete joke where the hunter swim faster and better than the monster while he's again in bigger danger in its own turf and culminating with an epic QTE tells just how much the series strayed from their original philosophy in fights.
It would have been better if the didn't bother with it instead of doing this half-assed shit.
