I made all of these in magma. It’s super user friendly and is more in line with other digital art software out there. But I also do tinker in drawpile sometimes. I would say probably start in magma but also download drawpile and tinker a bit with it. If you are interested in a more painterly style I think drawpile has better tools for that as well as animation, but for everything else magma is my go to
