there's not too many differences which is why I figured it would be manageable. I haven't done much custom work with pla-plate and I've only ever rescribed lines. it's far from a perfect recreation but I think it'll suffice since this will is a kitbash and no kits have the official one. I also had the bazooka on hand already from the hg rx-78-2.
here's everything I did:
>snipped handle to be a c-clip
>seam removed muzzle piece, sawed off further down the end and reattached instead of trying to scribe a circle
>scribed lines along side (had to redo one side a few times)
>sanded down the rounded bit that extends out, added the little detail there
>drilled hole in side of the rear part
>added protrusion along the bottom of the rear part
>some pla plate details along the top
