I had a very detailed dream tonight. The best way I would describe it "Alternative Alvin and the Chipmunks".
It started as the 3 of them walking in the woods talkting to each other, they were dressed how they are in the 2000's movies. The way it was styled it looked like a point-and-click game of some sort. So they walk through the forest until they come upon a some kind of settlement that was enclosed with a metal fence. The come closer to it and see a man with a dog's head (you know William Wegman and his photos of dog-headed people? That's what he looked like) standing behind it. He is this version's Dave. When he sees the chipmunks he offers them to take them in. Then there was an option screen: accept the offer or do not. If you choose the latter the game ends. If you choose to be taken in he opens a door and takes them to his car. While they talk in the car he tells them something about music contest I think? So long story short they become a band and soon give a concert. The audience are all humans (just like in the movies) and they don't seem to notice the talking chipmunks. The contest also took place in some soviet-stiled hall. But naturally since they don't have any songs they have to leave the stage and next some band named "Fire Ice Wind Water" plays instead. The final scene is the dogman putting chipmunks into beds while trying to cheer them up after the concert gone wrong and Theodore asks if they could at least write a song next time to perform, to which the dogman Dave agrees.
The whole thing wasn't exactly creepy but it did give off an eerie feeling, like something will jumpscare you in the next moment. Overall it was more like an analog horror kind of thing, expect not overly spooky, just not in the style that the Chipmunks movies usually are. And also for some reason Theodore is called Timothy by one of the audience members.
