apparently it's pretty common for chinks to bring live chickens at home to keep the meat "fresh"
the little chinklets bond with said chicken and treat it as a pet
the parent chink at some decides it's time to eat and butchers pet-chicken and feeds it to the little chinklets
I'm confident this leaves the chinklets with some level of mental scarring
then again this isn't dissimilar to what happened basically everywhere else throughout history and doesn't explain the levels of needless cruelty
