Often but followers and summons and animals are excessively bloodthirsty
It also gets harder to do the stronger one gets which seems kind of backwards
I do have speechcraft stuff for them to carry my burdens or hand over their items
Animals are easier to spare and most other NPCs aren't really worth the trouble
