Matthew, Mark, and Luke contain no verses claiming Jesus is God. John only contains a small number of verses vaguely hinting at Jesus being divine, but John was written last 80 years after Jesus died. None of the Gospels are reliable contemporary accounts and they contradict each other repeatedly. There is no basis for claiming that this carpenter was God, no evidence of such whether in history or present reality. It's ideology concocted by self-appointed religious leaders in Rome centuries after Jesus died.
