Maybe they think being a loner is a more sympathetic character flaw then being a little shit who stirs the pot but Loner Louise always places Louise on the side of go home and do nothing instead of hang out and do something. When your character is firmly anti-action you're gonna be writing a boring character because even bilbo baggins understood you have to get out of the house for an adventure.
