Tanks are completely useless. School girls are trusted to handle fully functional tanks and command air craft carriers. These are all carbon-coated and nearly impervious to damage. The military tech of the GuP world is clearly so advanced that giving teenagers access to this tanks is not seen as a serious threat. Doubtful tanks are an integral part of the military.
