Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After learning of Moro's escape, thanks to a certain Kai's interference, Karn warned his allies of the impending threat before handing business with his city. Then, with the day off he and Meloka went about simply being, taking a break. Only to find Goar, Karn's largest student in a confrontation with three slavers over a young Togruta girl they'd 'bought' and were trafficking through New Salda. Which Karn informed Vegeta of, the King of the Saiyans taking the slavers and planning to make an example out of them. And as we rejoin Karn, you're left with your wife and student, all looking at the young child, Cesha Ryn hugging the comically larger Goar's leg.

“Heh. Now I get it.” your wife says wryly, you looking to her with a brow raised. But as she leans against your leg, you then look back to the two, realizing what she means. Which gets a chuckle out of you, the girl looking back to you. Eyes wide with alarm, panic clearly setting in. Which Meloka notices, addressing the girl. “Cesha, was it? It's okay. We're not going to hurt you. You don't have to go with the bad men anymore.”

Your wife's tone changes as she talks to the child, talking softly like she did when your children were even younger than this girl. Kneeling down, speaking to her on her level without approaching.

“We won't let anyone else hurt you. This world is safe.” your wife continues, holding a hand out to her. “Mind if I take that collar off of you?”
“R-Really?” the orange-skinned little girl says, turning to her left and smiling. “Did you hear that, Brew?”
