rules are: turn based, 1 action per character. skills and abilities of characters ive made are pre-defined, mobs that are not bosses are randomly generated. no level system as i've found exp to be really bad. instead you can only gain stats/gear/skills from equipping items. items are scattered in dungeons, loot is determined by RNG roll.

you can also gain skills from attending school.

here's a few snippets from the loot table:

Unlocks a skill when equipped - Teleport (MP-25) Dodges next incoming attack, can be used with another skill simultaneously.
10. Kodai Wand M.ATK +70
Unlocks a skill when equipped - Ice Barrage (MP-50) M.ATK*2 AOE, applies Freeze, 1T
11. Deck of Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards - M.ATK +30
Unlocks a skill when equipped - Draw! (MP-10) Randomly summons a duel monster until end of turn. The monster acts instantly and disappears.

the YGO deck also has it's own rng roll table that determines the effect.
