Cat Girl" was a fun comic, and I think this comic is perfect as it should be a similar light-hearted/ cringe slice of life story —focused on a group of awkward girls obsessed with weird niche fandoms. The comedy would come from them getting way too into fandom, doing cringey, awkward stuff we all remember from our teen years.

It wouldn’t be a direct Eltingville Club or anime club parody, but something in that spirit—just more comfy and slice-of-life. The girls argue over ships, cosplay badly, watch cursed videos, and create fan content with embarrassing sincerity.
Conflict comes from three places: infighting over fandom drama (make it over the top) something so small and mundane, normie nerd classmates who look down on them, and awkward run-ins at comic shops or local geek spots. The story shines when they’re just chilling in someone’s bedroom, surrounded by fandom clutter, bickering or bonding. It could have 2010s vibes—Tumblr, DeviantArt, YouTube—but blend in modern tech like Discord or TikTok. Don’t mention a specific year; that way it stays relatable across generations. It’s nostalgic, weird, heartfelt, and full of secondhand embarrassment—but in a loving way. Plus as the years go by you have more ways to make the story fun instead of being stuck in a time frame it could just be funny nerd trivia older and younger people can understand and laugh at.
