In this ending, you read the Mimic a bedtime story, the programming that commands him to imitate David kicks in, he calms down and turns himself off. Arnold is then able to safely transport the endosketeton and hand it over to FazEnt, who later, being the evil dicks they are, start abusing the hell out of the poor thing, eventually locking him away, so he starts growing violent again and some time later ends up becoming a Terminator seeking only to destroy any living meatbag that comes into his procimity. They could easily pull something like that, as I see it.
