I feel like what I discovered is that this build makes your horse very "consistent" in the sense that you'll always end up in a good position before the last spurt, but ironically you're still essentially leaving it up to a dice roll because it's all up to whether the others (with better speed than yours) will end up in a similarly good position to you or not.

Consistency just doesn't really matter that much I think, it's all about the peaks. Back to being a speedtard I guess.
