The main rewards are from getting 1-6 stars, so it's always worth attempting.
It's hard to know if you actually have anything worth a damn but for a good level 50 team it's definitely possible to get 3* on one boss (and for a less good team, 2* should still be doable), and it's really easy to get at least 1 in the other bosses if you build some teams just a little bit, since the requirement is 6000pts and you get 5000 just for engaging with the gimmick (ie. some bosses will give you 200pts every time you get a perfect dodge).
