I guess the key is *how many* giants are at the enemy's disposal.
If they have one, or few, that makes sense. Each attrit is a huge deal.
If they're not rare though, this isn't as great an ROI.
Finally, like an elephant, she'd still be able to cause considerable damage before she gets sick and keels over.
