Getting the Blackfeather gives you a large boost to Limit Break in addition to getting the Haste buff, and not having to use Guard to avoid the damage is very helpful.

It's funny, because I think there's a lot of casual players that still dodge the geyser puddles during Red Sand's heat wave event for the same reason, when those puddles heal you and also give you a little bit of Limit Break each.
