Arguing with canon is no less retarded than the canon itself, allow me to demonstrate.
Red's canon team only makes sense if the events of Yellow are the ones that happened, even though he's in his FRLG outfit and the default name in Yellow is "Yellow" instead of "Red", he's still canonically named Red anyway, but that's not all.
If Red was 11 in 1996, and SM took place in 2016, then Red should've been 31 in SM, instead he's only 20, as the concept art for his SM design confirms, which means that Yellow *actually* took place in 2007, meaning that Red was born in 1996, so his '96 shirt somehow still makes sense because SM is still the 20th anniversary of the whole franchise.
