Texas State to the PAC12 must be the biggest realignment lift in a long time. Rutgers went from the AAC to the Big Ten but they were only in the AAC for a year and before that the Big East had been a BCS conference. Yes, the nuPAC isn't the P5 conference it once was. It's certainly a G6 now but it's the top of the G6 and Texas State is no Rutgers. Beyond being desperate for an addition full member that plays football, the nuPAC likely sees potential for Texas State to grow its program in ways it never would be able to do in the Sun Belt.
