If Nakayama goal is to get fighting game audiences on board with Modern/Simple input schemes than doesn't altering or stripping away options from legacy chars in the name of Modern hurt his end goal? Like I don't understand Nakayama's thought process here.

And he doesn't even seem to hide it. He straight up said in an interview that they made scissor kick a motion input because of Modern. He didn't even have to say all that, he could've just lied about the reason. Why is Nakayama creating negative PR for Modern if he wants to get it over with the consumer base?
