It almost moves too fast to react to. Fortunately, Bella withdraws her partner right before the first Pteramon sails through the open door and impales the white wall. His beak stabs deep into it, and he’s left trapped. Porcupamon bursts from the darkness and descends on him in an instant.
It’s hardly a contest. With his beak paralyzed, and wings stuck in the enclosed space, he can’t shoot his missiles without blowing himself up. Savage claws and spikes descend on him repeatedly, shredding the Digimon while Gazimon hides in the safety of her digivice.
The other Pteramon manages to stop on time, since he didn’t use his signature move to accelerate. He’s close enough to the doorway to be targeted, and you know he won’t dare to enter now that his partner is being shredded by yours. You step out and launch a packet of freeze code at him.
It has subpar results against a Champion-level Digimon. He isn’t fully suspended like you hoped. He just slows down and hovers on the spot for a bit, his mouth slowly opening and the panels on his wings unfolding. Elecmon leaps off Liza’s head and fires off a blast of lightning. When the freeze runs out, Pteramon is left to contend with the shock to his systems. He swerves too far and loses balance, tumbling downwards and landing on the platform in front of you in a heap.
You know he’ll recover and fly back up if you let him shake the damage off, so you search desperately for a way to eliminate him. Porcupamon is busy taking down the other, and you have your two Rookies at your disposal. Luckily, these attackers seem to be a bit smaller than usual. Junior specimens, maybe.
>Have them attack him directly. You’ve never fought a Pteramon till now, so you don’t know their defensive capabilities. Maybe the two can finish him off, but maybe they won’t be strong enough to prevent him from flying away.
>Try to hack the Digimon and apply your .app files to it. Gazimon is a Virus-type, she might be able to do what Phascomon did to Solarmon. You can then apply an app that sabotages its subsequent escape. However, you don’t know if she can breach a Champion-level firewall, or if it’s even worth the risk of trying. If she has no idea how to, you'll waste an opportunity.
>Jump it with EVERYONE. You, Liza, Bella, and the Rookies. Just pile on and mob this guy, so you can hold it down long enough for Porcupamon to grab him. This is the most dangerous, since you’ll be putting everybody within reach of its sharp limbs, but as soon as your partner can seize it, the Pteramon is screwed.
