Should have clarified smaller drones. They definitely fill a niche that is well countered with lower calibre CIWS systems. I doubt that solely light calibre remote weapon stations would be looked at very fondly, as it would give up too much stopping power for people sized targets (not something the size of a basketball/yogaball).
Pic rel, the dood would likely be better served with a larger calibre to ensure their death, while the drone could be taken out via large amounts of lower calibre ammo.
