Everyone builds the show as this super deep an emotional dive into complex characters and supposedly one of the best Villians in all of anime/manga,
>Tenma has multiple opportunities to WOUND Johan to stop him but because he uses his 0_0 on him, he freezes and let's him go.
>Johan is a straight up gary-stu considering how much everyone sucks him off and pretends that he is this 6D chess mastermind, when in reality he's a cross-dressing, mommy complex, nihilist schizo loner who has extreme plot armor
>Inspector Heinrich Lunge and Wolfgang Grimmer are only interesting characters
>The whole Berlin sub-plot was complete filler
>The pacing in ALL of Naoki Urasawa Mangas are extremely slow
>Also most characters have the same face syndrome with a few exceptions

There are other problems i have with this show, but in short it's cosmically overrated
