Kanako-sama can be a "mom" for you in the sense that deities can be kind of adults for adults. At some point your parents will run out of the kind of guidance they can give to you. Either you catch up to their life experience, the world becomes too different or then they die of old age. But Kanako-sama and her kin are something else, transcendent, ancient, but eternally young. She can teach you many things but there is one core teaching from which everything else flows from: you have to shed your skin or you will die.
