I'm kind of addicted to A-Train 9 Ultimate, but after almost fucking 30 hours, I'm still on the first scenario, and the game has like 70 scenarios or something. I'll probably die of old age before I finish all the scenarios in the game.

We'll continue doing train logistics. Have fun with your lesbian Latina roleplaying, I guess.

This game is pretty cool, but progress is VERY slow. By slow, I mean that each of the 47 scenarios will take, I don't know, like 30 hours if you're fast, 50+ hours if you are detail-oriented.
The problem is that nothing really makes much profit in the beginning, even with a thriving company you'll still see your resources rise very slowly, and then taxes eating up a good chunk of your profits...

It doesn't have much to do with OpenTTD. Neither in terms of objectives nor train management. The goal is simply to move passengers and construction materials around your city, with an almost total focus on trains (buses and trucks aren't that useful). You don't work with signals, but with timetables, so you have to do a lot of math if you want to perform complex operations. The Japanese players often use external software to calculate train timetables.
The highlight is that the train simulation is decent, so you can create very detailed operations if you're crazy enough to do so.

It depends. Playing the scenarios can be reasonably easy if you understand the mechanics. You don't really need to use all the features the game offers, so just doing the basics is enough to win.
But if you just want complex train operations (usually guys use the map editor for that), then the autism is infinite, because you have to calculate the timetables by hand, like deciding the departure times of each train from each platform of each station, and things can get as complex as you want.
Doing complex things in this system is a total nightmare, by the way.
