This is the right's Israel problem summarized.

I could not give less of a fuck about Iranian monarchists who look like Zorro, but he's lumped in with the rest because Zionism still holds influence on the right. Israel is so comically evil and Iran so comically persecuted that this is a losing argument no matter how sensible the rest of our program is. We will not have a coherent platform until Israel worship dies.
