Garbage. There's nothing pop garbage ever attempted to do, that wasn't done already by classical masters. Beethoven's late quartets (e.g. grosse fuge), much of Wagner, Bartok and Stravinsky are "heavier" than that monotonic slop. Pop listeners are filth.
