Stray dogs aren't worth worrying about.Usually just yelling at them is enough to scare them off.Picking up a stone and throwing it at them,or even pretending to pick up one is usually enough to scare them off.But most of the time that's not even needed since they are scared of humans and even staring at them is enough to unnerve them.It's usually dogs who have owners that are more aggresive,not the stray ones,but i usually just ignore them and their barking,they rarely actually attack.I enjoy maintaining eye contact with them,it makes me feel brave and epic.In case they do actually attack then defeating them shouldn't be a problem.But they can be very annoying when you are on a bike.
As for shepherd dogs, >>2793768 is exaggerating, shepherd dogs shouldn't be compared to shitbulls.All shepherds have dogs to protect their flocks,but they aren't found on the streets.And shepherd dogs aren't anywhere near as bad as pitbulls,they may run after your car when you go buy some cheese from a shepherd and bark at you but they are still more docile than shitbulls.
I think OP should generally not worry about dogs,but if he lives in a nigger infested american city then he should carry a gun or a knife at least.But i doubt many pitbulls can be found in American forests or outside cities.
