Earlier today they were going on about how boots on the ground wouldn't be necessary and we would just aerially bombard them. I can already see the next few years of cope:
>a war with Iran isn't going to happen
>Israel can handle them, we won't get involved
>Israel needs our help to defend against Iranian missiles
>a first strike against Iranian nuclear facilities via aerial bombardment isn't the same as an invasion (you are here)
>a boots on the ground invasion will be quick
>we need to help them set up a government for a few months
>the occupation will end by the midterms
>keeping troops in the region isn't the same as a forever war
>they just need a few more billion dollars to stabilize the region and set up their own military against the rebels
>the rebels aren't that big of a problems and the new iranian government will stop them
>the new iranian government still holds the urban areas
>they'll fight to defend the Tehran
>we chose to abandon all that hardware in the pullout from Tehran
>cycle continues with some other country that israel doesn't like

What's wrong with bombing Iran if it doesn't involve boots on the ground?
