I have a roommate from Wuhan, he keeps Oreos and chips and whatnot on his desk and plays overwatch all day. He cooks all his own meals and does so with unmeasured pools of oil that he’s used to doing for his gas stove+wok despite us only have an electric stove. He buys like twice as much meat as I do, and solid cuts of beef, chicken, and pork at that, not like chicken breast, lean ground beef, and fish or something. Rice and noodles all the time, buys a lot of cheap processed shit like instant ramen, etc. and loves sautéing green vegetables. Anyway, he’s scrawny as hell and like a foot shorter than me, and it genuinely just comes down to portions. Eating 30% less than someone else is hard to notice unless you pay attention, but it’s gonna result in 30% less “person” on your body. Ultimately despite always have processed shit everywhere he’s mostly eating home cooked meat/veg/grain to his fill, and that’s a goal, not “defying thermodynamics.”
Picrel is a hotpot we put on recently.
