Oh yeah I forgot to give you tips
>Make it a habit to regularly look at clocks. Digital clocks. Just look at a clock and notice that you can read what time it is. Do the same with street signs. Anything simple, with numbers or letters that is easily comprehended. like a STOP sign. Just when you see it, make a note that you were able to read it. Do lots of small things like this, but you don't have to make a big deal out of it, just make a habit of it.
Another good one is to flip a light switch on, then off, and notice that it works.
Subtle habits you have in real life will manifest in your behavior in dreams. You will try to check a clock, or a sign, or flip a switch, in your dream - and you'll notice it doesn't work, or you can't read it. Because you're used to noticing that it works, or that you can read it.
When you can do that, you've reached the first stage, which is improving your ability to realize that you are dreaming.
The problem after that is staying asleep, which is a task I usually equivocate to trying to spin a basketball on the tip of a #2 Pencil
but try those first things I said
coloquially they're called "dream checks"
you perform a casual "dream check" every now and then while you're awake
