World conditions of the Israeli decision
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned this morning the Cabinet's decision to continue the fighting in Gaza : "A wrong decision that will only lead to more bloodshed, I call on Israel to consider it." According to Starmer, who announced last week that his country would recognize a Palestinian state in September if the war does not stop: "This move will not advance the end of the war or help release the hosts."
Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Waldkamp wrote that "the Netanyahu government's decision is wrong and will not lead to the release of the hosts. The war in the Gaza Strip must be brought to an end." Maxime Pravo, the Belgian Foreign Minister, summoned Israel's ambassador to Brussels, Idit Rosenzweig Abu, to express protest over the decision to occupy Gaza.
