This is 4chan though. What word do they consider a big deal? A loose usage of the word is the thing you get cancelled for in today's social climate.

I get it. Sexually assault is one of the worst things a person can go through. (And I've known multiple victims of it.) But it's still a weird case of, "Why was it acceptable back then?"

With stuff like slavery and segregation, you knew you were fucking people over. With talking about rape of the environment, or likening one's demons being made public to the rape of one's privacy, it was about needing a reference point for something terrible. It wasn't malicious toward people who had experienced assault.
