also not all pastries are deserts or sweet foods, but regardless they do eat a variety of stuff.
A lot of my insight has been gathered from My Wife Reina, of course, since she's quite happy to chat about her food even compared to more 'important' girls. She's also, ironically, the only Harpy from the village who isn't completely against meat. She doesn't like meat, to be clear, but she's still willing to eat it sometimes, and how she feels about a dish involving meat generally comes down to how good the dish actually was (i.e, if it was done well or not and also wasn't just exclusively meat). Comparatively, other Harpies are generally either fully carnivorous or refuse all meat outright and the only commonality they have is that they'll get livid if you try to feed them bird meat for obvious reasons.
Reina is also unique compared to other Harpies in that while she doesn't like meat, she DOES like fish and other seafoods, while most Harpies who refuse meat also refuse seafood outright as well. She even mentions how she goes out fishing sometimes, and that she hardly gets the chance to enjoy Sushi (presumably since the other Harpies don't like fish she doesn't get to eat it often) so she's always happy when you make it for her. She also really loves broiled eel. Reina also fondly reminisces on cream stew and tomato soup, saying it reminds her of home, and talks about how the village will gather around to eat Hot Pot on occasions. She also mentions that the Village will use Gratin, but she also notes that they (obviously) don't make it with any egg or meat of course.
I suppose I should consider myself lucky, that Reina is such a food connoisseur. Thanks to her, I've learned an incredible amount about her and her people!
But the important thing is their food is pretty good.
