Aww, that's a cute outlook! I'm sure Maps and I would've made one hell of a pair, had I been around to see their daring exploits firsthand.
Certainly wouldn't call myself "world renowned" by any means, though, at least not so directly. I'm just someone who likes to write about where they've been. Maybe someday I'll compile my thoughts and release something in a more formalized manner.

Hah, from a meta standpoint, I suppose that's a decent assessment.
There's a quiet sort of melancholy which hangs over any given private server for lost or otherwise abandoned MMOs.
It's moreso felt in especially older titles from the 2000s, but it still resides in TERA as well to an extent. So much potential left unrealized, and so many hanging threads never to be woven into the larger narrative. A time capsule, though not entirely as you may remember it, were you one to live through that history firsthand.

The times spent by the TFT and NFA faithful from a decade prior - good and bad - defined this title for so many Anon. Yet I suppose in knowing that context, you're right. Those rosy years are long behind us now, and what remains is purely the medium in which those old memories were first made; no more, no less.
In my case, at least, that presents the opportunity to see what all the fuss was about, albeit well after-the-fact.
Much of TERA may as well be a brand-new experience for me, so while stages such as Skynest, Bahaar, Forbidden Arena, et cetera, might be boring and old-hat to the true vets, they're still exciting trials to overcome from my perspective.

It's not quite the same as it once was. But that's fine. What's left can still be fun in its own way. (Also greatly helps that Starscape gutted all of the pay2win from the official title and didn't replace any with their own grift, which is a rarity even among private servers).
