Senran Kagura and Stellar Blade are fundamentally different. Stellar Blade is not centered around "moe" appeal like Senran Kagura is. Stellar Blade has one hot girl and that's it. SK has an entire cast of them, of varying personalities and builds, including a loli. In SB, the story is serious from beginning to end, it has only one tone. SK can do both serious stories and lighthearted hijinks at the same time and switch between them on the fly. That is a quality only Japanese games seem to have, and it's something Twatter-type gaijins who aren't immersed in the culture routinely seethe about (e.g., Xenoblade 2 and all the whining about "blushy crushy" and Tora/Poppi in general). All of these things make Senran Kagura inherently less palatable to non-otakus, while Stellar Blade avoids this because at its core it is just a typical western-style action game that happens to star a hot girl. And it's all those things that make Senran Kagura appealing to moe otakus that are the reason it gets targeted. It was built around those things from day one, later entries merely doubled down on the lighthearted and humorous aspects.
