That's absolutely true. I just can't get over how majorly retarded the argument is to discredit Relic Tech. Ange/RPK becoming a Nyto to sacrifice herself on public television to discredit the benefits of Relic Tech is like saying "Hey guys, the cure for cancer is completely worthless, because you might still die!" And then proceeding to throw yourself in front of a bus. Completely ignoring the actual issues of letting a gobohomo dark mechanicum conspiracy control the means of godhood and immortality and create an artificial cyber-hell like Mikoshi from Cyberpunk.
Shaw is totally right that abusing Relic Tech will lead to humanity's extinction. But her creating non-Relic dolls/weapons superior to reverse-engineered Relic-based dolls/weapons proves nothing. That's like saying "Nuclear power is dangerous, guys! That's why I created a non-nuclear bomb with the same explosive yield! It doesn't provide clean energy, or radiotherapy, or anything else useful. But killing each other on a massive scale without fear of nuclear fallout is definitely what humanity needed!"
But my memory of events is fuzzy, so maybe I'm just wrong on all accounts. I might also be biased against Shaw because she's just such a total bitch.
